In the city center of Utrecht, in the Dom’s shadows, you will find Restaurant De Rechtbank. Our team has been working tirelessly for 15 years to provide our guests with the best service. We are open every day, all year round. Enjoy our cozy and intimate atmosphere in the Brasserie and restaurant during winter months. Rain or shine, during summer we welcome our guests onto our beautiful and secluded courtyard.
One of the major strengths of De Rechtbank is its versatility: imagine yourself during holiday on our beautiful terrace, come and have lunch in the brasserie or enjoy special wine and food pairings while having dinner in our restaurant. In our Vrouwe Justitia Zaal we organize events all year round, from wedding parties to corporate events!
We are fortunate to work in a location that has a rich history. In 1054, the Romanesque Paulus Abbey, a Benedictine monastery, was founded on our grounds. After the reformation, the monastery buildings were used as, you guessed it, a court.
